Guidance for vendors, entities, and individuals interested in Bella Caveat partnerships
We exist because of the lack of moral character, ethics, skill, and professionalism in the business world. We believe that it is possible to be the ‘complete package’ and still be a profitable company. Yet, today, in the American business world, July 7, 2020 to be exact, this remains virtually (actually) nonexistent (with few exceptions). So, we formed this humble entity Bella Caveat to improve the global business world.
We embody moral character, ethics, skill, professionalism, fun, youth, diversity, multicultural heritage and history, strength, courage, diligence, persistence, resilience, artistry, innovation, faith, humility, humanity, beauty, grace, and femininity.
We care about the student debt crises, race and gender equality, pay equity, reparations, civil rights, human rights, women’s rights, animal rights, campus assault, race and gender based violence, corruption in government, injustice in U.S. courts, misconduct by law enforcement, cheating on college exams, the high African American mortality rate, and the low number of African American women in C-level positions in corporate America. We fight like hell to make our world more beautiful and equitable – for all.
Morality, integrity, humanity and ethics are not at odds with building and maintaining a successful business practice. The employees we hire, as well as any vendors that we do partner with, must be peerless in their personal and professional practices, and must demonstrate their values in how they live and run a business.
We require vendors and partners to demonstrate that they are committed to maintaining and advancing high moral and ethical standards rarely demonstrated in American culture today: yes, we can win elections without cheating, we can compensate African Americans for longstanding and systemic racism without turning white Americans into paupers, we can ensure equity and justice for people of color in our courts without delay or excuse – and it must be done. This standard must be met before we agree to partner or recommend a service. This standard must be met and long adhered to before an entity contacts us with a partnership request.
We see widespread and unredressed persecution of working professionals who insist on racial justice, race and gender pay equity, and fairness in promotions, enforcement of company standards, and apportionment of workplace duties. We also note that very few individuals in business have stepped up to curb these abuses in any meaningful or impactful way.
Fun fact: we require entities to prove that fifty percent or more of the highest company salaries and leadership roles are maintained by women and people of color before we will consider a partnership.
Our mission is to provide a safe and healthy work environment for professionals who uphold dignity and fairness in the workplace. We could not meet this goal without requiring an entity to demonstrate not only a commitment to these values, but a longstanding consistent practice and enforcement personally and professionally to these goals.
We value, encourage, and support businesses that operate with the highest level of ethical governance and responsible consumerism; a product or service must have a positive impact on society, and cannot be another tool to help the rich get richer or be silent on issues adversely impacting communities of women and people of color. We read corporate documents to determine if an entity truly values diversity and equity. [We are not mind readers, so we require affirmative, verifiable proof that you share our values and beliefs.]
We will continue to demonstrate that Black Lives Matter in hiring standards, racial and gender pay equity, voting, advocacy, who we follow and support on social media, what businesses we support, who we partner with and recommend, how we operate our business, and we live personally and professionally.
We do not work or partner with entities or individuals whose primary objective is to recruit and refer. We find that such businesses unnecessarily reduce the take-home pay of workers while contributing minimal to no actual added value to society or to the worker. Workers who are placed or assigned through such firms are most often without benefits and protections that we find vital to the dignity and protection of all workers. Further, we find the practice of reducing the take-home pay of workers to be unethical and immoral. An entity must be in the regular practice of contributing value, which is distinct from giving advice or taking a management or recruitment fee, for us to review the application or request. Please be sure to highlight the value added by the entity as well as its commitment to race and gender equity (e.g. data about the entity’s highest salaries and leadership team with a breakdown by race and gender is responsive; information about the entity’s statement in support of a race or gender initiative or effort is not).
Be advised: we also screen out entities and individuals that post and recruit for jobs that do not exist (i.e. firms that waste precious time and resources of job seekers to maintain a supply, just in case…this is unprofessional, unethical, and creates apathy and ill-will in candidates seeking jobs). Your key takeaway should be that we fight for the dignity of workers who have been oppressed, misrepresented, and underrepresented due to racism, discrimination, and injustice.
Part of our research in creating this Company was sending job seekers on stealth missions to see if and how entities respond to job seekers (we both hire and recommend deserving candidates, and individuals who responded and passed our rigorous screening process became fully employed). *We only recruit when a position is open, available, and capitalized for a year or more.
The results from the stealth missions led us to conclude that human resources professionals and human resources offices are major contributing factors to the bias, lack of ethics, and poor hiring practices which we found in great number through our stealth missions. Race and gender counted against job seekers in almost all instances, and qualified African Americans were the highest rejected applicant group while white candidates with less experience and education were hired and given salaries above what African American candidates were told was the top salary for a particular role.
Please note: we do not condone or encourage racism or discrimination in hiring or business. Our business takes drastic steps to redress the widespread American practice of discrimination against African Americans in business and professions. An entity that is incapable of providing verifiable and affirmative proof that women and people of color are valued employees at the entity would not be able to partner with any Bella Caveat division.
Be clear, consistent, courteous, detailed, and purposeful when you contact us
We respect your time, and we ask that you respect ours. We know what we want. We don’t want to be ‘sold’ a product that we haven’t asked for. Be polite and don’t waste our time with irrelevant proposals and pitches (please and thanks!). The questions below will help you determine if your pitch is irrelevant (irrelevant pitches are unprofessional and costly, so please don’t)
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10
We also have no desire to promote, encourage, incite, aid or abet conduct which is immoral, indecent, harmful, or unlawful. We will not work with entities where sexual misconduct, racism, and discrimination against women is thriving. We will not work with companies that overlook and ignore misconduct. We live our values. Our business is built on sound moral principles. We cannot, will not, and do not accommodate vendors or partners who do not demonstrate, practice, and live by clear moral values.
Our partners are vetted internally and are subject to routine screening to ensure quality, consistency, and moral values.

The questions below will help you determine if your pitch is irrelevant (irrelevant pitches are unprofessional and costly, so please don’t)
- Do you recruit for jobs not in existence?
- Do you recruit, retain, hire, and promote a competitive diverse workforce?
- Are your hiring standards free of bias, discrimination, and personal preferences? (We find that if family and friends are the preferred hiring group the employees are not competitive)
- What are the reasons that you reject qualified candidates and select others?
- Have you rejected a candidate that we would have hired? (We are loyal to God, our mission, values, and our employees; we could not do business with those who are hostile to or treat black and brown humans as less deserving)
- Do you overlook your home mission field but seek funds from others to work overseas? (Our mission field starts at home. We would reject an entity who overlooks the needs of their community while providing a similar service abroad)
- How are you different from other companies performing similar services? (Are you competitive?)
- Does your mission and vision align with our goals, mission, and vision?
- Has anyone that we provide services to had a negative experience with your entity? (We are loyal to our networks. We trust their judgment)
- Management has invested significant personal capital to ensure the success of Bella Caveat: where we spend, who we recommend is an extension of our values. Are you aligned with our values?
